The hatchback's C-pillar is bolted to a highly rigid aluminum pipe using the rear seat belt fastening. Hatchbacks with large openings are fitted with this pillar bar to increase body rigidity. It suppresses body distortion, threading, twisting, etc., and maximizes the direct feeling of steering and tire grip. Installation is as simple as snapping the left and right mounting brackets to the seat belt hooks on the body. The optional pillar bar protection pads also increase the safety of the rear seat headspace.
