The duralumin mount collar is sandwiched between the differential mounts to strengthen the weak points of the stock rubber bushings. The S2000's differential mount is sandwiched from both sides with a mount collar made of high-rigidity duralumin material. It compensates for the lack of hardness, which is the weak point of the stock rubber bushing and controls the movement of the differential body.
