The stock intake system emphasizes cost and maintainability, so the intake resistance is high, and it is not possible to take in enough fresh air to produce power.
The Tsuchinoko Air Intake System, developed exclusively for the CR-Z, draws in more air directly from the grille, the lower part of the bumper, and two ducts to draw in cooler outside air.
By lowering the intake air temperature and increasing the capacity of the air cleaner box body, we were able to significantly improve power and torque.
By taking in the running wind from the ducts, the power of the entire area is increased.
The chamber effect increases torque at low and medium rpm and the ram pressure effect increases power at high rpm.
Since a part of the genuine air cleaner box is used, there are no ECU troubles such as abnormal flow rate of the air flow sensor or thinning of the fuel condition that can be seen in external air cleaners.
The use of a genuine or genuine air cleaner reduces dust and reduces engine damage. It is effective regardless of the stage, from the street to the circuit!
Air filter is not included.
Requires partial cut on the back of the bonnet.
Our Type S bonnet can be installed without processing.
