The triple-turn high-capacity aluminum radiator is finally here!

The FK8's water temperature cooling system has not kept up with the performance of the stock system for the amount of heat generated. The main points are:

- The amount of heat generated by the turbine is very large due to the high output of the turbo
- Insufficient capacity of the radiator core and problems with the fins
- It is difficult for the running wind to hit the core and it is difficult to escape
- It is difficult for heat in the engine room to escape

For the FK8, it is necessary to improve not only the thermostat, sports coolant, and aero parts, but also the total cooling performance, and improving the heat exchange performance of the radiator is a major point in improving the cooling performance.

J'SRACING has been conducting radiator tests and prototypes for a long time, but in search of specifications that exceed those of conventional aluminum radiators, we adopted the triple-turn type. The position of the cooling water on the outside has been changed and redesigned so that heat can be exchanged evenly over the entire area. An increase in the number of parts and cost was inevitable, but it was an unavoidable decision to reduce the average water temperature by even one degree.

As a result of a comparative test at the Suzuka Circuit International Racing Course using our demo car, we were able to confirm that the water temperature during the lap was up to -25°C and the average cooling effect was -15°C during the 6 laps including INOUT, and the water temperature rise speed decreased and the water temperature decrease speed increased. (※1、※2)

By stabilizing the water temperature, various benefits can be obtained, such as engine protection, as well as prevention of power loss and fuel consumption deterioration due to high water temperature compensation of the ECU.
