The Downforce Carbon Fiber exhaust header heat shield replaces the factory aluminum piece. Efficiently keeps engine under-hood temperatures down by reflecting heat down away from the other parts of the engine bay. Solid, full carbon fiber construction for strength and durability. Features a raised Downforce "DF" logo embossed direct onto the carbon fiber and shiny clear-coated finish on both sides.
Weighs only 0.75 lbs.
All Downforce products are produced using zero shrink TP high solids resin molds that are autoclave grade and rated to 485F. Downforce carries over experience from working on aerospace contracts for satellites, Formula race cars, military and companies such as TRD, HKS, etc. The surface of Downforce products are smooth and solid unlike many cheap products produced overseas that have wavy/rippled panels that are porous and require much prep work for paint. Products are molded directly to the body and designed from scratch to fit properly so fitment is OEM grade. Hexcel certified Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass is used on all Downforce products for added strength and durability.
